The XI Conference on Linguistics and Cognition, held in João Pessoa from June 1st to 3rd, 2026, aimed to: (i) promote scientific dialogue and the exchange of research exploring the interfaces between language and cognition, bringing together researchers, professors, and students from different Brazilian institutions; (ii) foster critical reflection on the foundations, methods, and applications of cognitive approaches in Linguistics, contributing to the advancement of research on the mental and social processes involved in the acquisition, comprehension, and use of language; (iii) to stimulate and deepen the theoretical debate in the area in focus through the presentation and discussion of completed and ongoing research, consolidating itself as a space for academic cooperation and strengthening the scientific community that investigates language in its cognitive, discursive and sociocultural dimensions; and (iv) to promote exchange among national researchers in the area and encourage the formation of integrated research groups, strengthening academic collaboration between different programs and regions of the country.
