The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of the registration of pedagogical practices carried out between 2013 and 2019 in a public institution. It analyzes the interaction between these documents and the instruments used, focusing on the four pedagogical axes. Based on the ideas of Célestin Freinet, the article is articulated through the political-pedagogical practice and the teacher's narrative, highlighting a set of activities carried out with different classes. From a reflective, critical and proactive perspective, it seeks to answer the following questions: What is the importance of records? How do these documents and practices influence the quality of Early Childhood Education in a public institution? Is it feasible to incorporate Freinet's concepts into the daily life of an early childhood education classroom?
