Abstract

This paper explain how the school curriculum interferes in the production of the identity / difference of indigenous children of a school. Based on reflections theories, the text aims to create for debates involving a theme, still seen in the academy area. Based on field work, from the participant observation technique and informal dialogues with teachers of the initial degrees, a verified research that the teachers of the school don’t have a difficulty in recognizing the differences, but realize to pedagogical practices that don’t discriminate, exclude, hierarchize and treat indigenous children, as "equal", but build with them a space for dialogue and the production of new knowledge.
