This article aims to present the performance of AMAE Educando Magazine, as a model of pedagogical press focused on teachers training and dissemination of educational practices in the context of Minas Gerais. As a result of a research scope developed under the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC), the study investigates how the magazine has been consolidated as a pedagogical support, information repository and listening space for basic education educators. Historical documents, interviews with participants of the editorial project and references to the historiography of education and the pedagogical press are used as sources. The analysis of the magazine allows one to understand its strategic role in the mediation between public policies and teaching practices. In addition, its contribution to strengthening the professional identity of Minas Gerais teachers stands out.
