Abstract

One of the big discussions related to family farming is the difficulty of adding value to products. In this aspect, the industrialization arises as an opportunity to add value to products from family farms, and later in generating income for these families. The aim of this paper is to analyze the production and processing of palm worked in Sustainable Development Project (PDS) Bonal, located in the municipality of Senator Guiomard-AC, Brazil. The methodology is based on the survey and analysis of indicators of economic evaluation. The results indicate that there was a significant reduction in the production and processing of palm, in particular the absence of innovations, implicating in damage to community.
