RECI Publishes New Editorial Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

The guideline establishes that AI tools cannot be considered authors, since the ethical and intellectual responsibility for the content rests exclusively with the researchers. Any use of AI must be declared in the manuscript, preferably in the Methods section, specifying the purpose and extent of the use.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of the material, including passages produced with the aid of AI. The journal also discourages the use of images, tables, and graphs generated by AI, except in justified cases and evaluated individually.

The policy is available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and applies to all new submissions.
