Abstract

This article presents Renovação Magazine, published in the 1930s in Sergipe, as a tool for dialogue between Sergipe society and the Brazilian feminist movement. Classified as a literary magazine, it stood out for providing a space for women's publications. We discuss, based on the magazine's texts and from a cultural studies perspective, how femininity can put pressure on journalism and become a relevant forum for the struggle for social transformation.
