Abstract

This article investigates how ecological documentaries distribution of the sensible (Rancière, 2009; 2018), making invisible biomes and ways of life perceptible. The aim is to identify the effects of meaning present in these narratives — real and poetic effects (Motta, 2013) — articulating them with Rancière's ideas of policing and politics. The research analyzes the documentary We are guardians (2023) and its Instagram account, proposing an analysis of how these media complement each other and shape ecological perception.
