Abstract

This work aims to analyze the management of water resources in Acre, comparing it with the management in the State of São Paulo. Some aspects of management in Acre were presented by comparative analysis of the preparation and implementation of the provided instruments for the water policies. The methodology used was the bibliographical research and documental survey, using proposed indicators for evaluation and monitoring of governance dimension called policy management tools, seeking for the execution of the analysis in question and setting the stage of the governance aspects in this dimension. The results indicated that the management stage is basic to the evaluated governance dimension.
