This paper has as its objective to describe, based on Cognitive Semantics, the conceptualization of different socio-political groups, particularly during insult exchanges in comments under posts related to the 2022 Brazilian presidential election in the social network Facebook. To evaluate the insults, a corpus containing comments collected in the “g1 - O Portal de Notícias da Globo” was compiled, using posts regarding the 2022 Brazilian presidential election. This corpus was compiled with the aim of identifying terms which had potential to be used as insults or curse words. The insults were classified in four frames they evoked, those being Crime, Politics, Competence, and Morality Afterwards, the selected terms were classified based on the contexts which they were used in. Among the results, it is highlighted that the main aspects used as a basis for insult are the accusation of criminal behaviour, political ideology and the personhood of politicians being used as the personification of undesirable behaviour.
