Abstract

Introduction: Stroke is one of the leading causes of global morbidity and mortality, with significant functional implications in the chronic phase. This study aims to explore current trends in the treatment of Unilateral Spatial Neglect (USN) post-stroke. The present study aims to explore current treatment options in the rehabilitation of patients with post-stroke unilateral spatial neglect. Method: An integrative literature review was conducted, analyzing articles in Portuguese and English on physiotherapeutic treatments for USN. The databases consulted were PubMed, Medline, and Cochrane, using keywords combined with Boolean operators: "unilateral spatial neglect OR hemineglect AND stroke"; "Negligência Espacial Unilateral OU Heminegligência E Acidente Vascular Cerebral." Results: A total of 96 articles were found. After screening, 78 were excluded for not meeting the inclusion criteria. Of the 18 full texts analyzed, 13 were deemed eligible for review. Conclusion: Non-invasive brain stimulation interventions, virtual reality, prism adaptation, mirror therapy, constraint-induced movement therapy, and robot-assisted arm training have proven effective in reducing USN symptoms and can be combined with conventional therapies.
