Benefits of a strategic compensation plan in the production area of employee perspective

This study aims to identify the benefits of a strategic compensation plan for employees of the production area of a medium-sized plastic segment company. The data collection instrument was developed from the Profit Sharing (PS), which was adapted from the model of Wood Jr. and Picarelli Filho (1999) and Della Rosa (2000). In addition, semi-structured interviews were conducted with managers of the investigated company. Therefore, we applied a qualitative research exploratory, through research case study strategy. The main results were as follows: decreased turnover and absenteeism; increased employee retention; better satisfaction and employee performance; greater engagement/team commitment; and strategic remuneration should be aligned with the organization's strategies.Downloads
