Abstract

Corn has been standing out in the state of Mato Grosso with producers looking for hybrids with high yields and for that genetic improvement has launched more productive hybrids and adapted to the region. The objective of the work was to compare 13 commercial hybrids in a medium investment area. The experimental design was randomized blocks, the evaluated hybrids were SYN 505 VIP 3, SYN 455 VIP 3, SYN 522 VIP 3, NS 77 PRO 2, NS 73 VIP 3, NS 45 VIP 3, 2A401 PW, B2612 PWU, 2B433 PW, DKB 255 PRO 3, DKB 363 PRO 3, DKB 3 PRO 360, PRO 335 DKB 3. There were two fertilizers at planting and one with 200 kg/ha of 20-00-20 and a cover with 250 kg/ha from 25-00-18. Traits available: Plant height, shoot dry mass, stem diameter, leaf area, number of rows, number of grains per row, ear diameter, ear diameter, ear mass, ear length, ear length, thousand grains and productivity. For yield there were no significant results but the hybrid DKB 363 PRO 3 expressed a higher yield potential reaching 207 bags per hectare, while for dry mass there was significant difference where SYN 455 VIP 3 reached the highest shoot dry mass rate reaching 9.4 tons per hectare.
