Focus and Scope

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Health Promotion (RIPS) is the official publication of the Postgraduate Program in Health Promotion (PPGPS) at the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. RIPS aims to support the dissemination of research that contributes to knowledge in health promotion, prevention, and recovery, linked to studies and investigations in the health field and related areas, with an interdisciplinary focus.

The journal publishes manuscripts that present quantitative and qualitative approaches, including descriptive and analytical research, clinical, epidemiological, and environmental studies. Accepted manuscript types include original scientific articles, case studies, case series, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and letters to the editor, according to the journal's specific guidelines. The editorial focus prioritizes works that demonstrate methodological rigor, scientific relevance, and potential impact in the area of ​​Health Promotion and Public Health.

 

Indexing and Visibility

RIPS is an open-access journal that seeks to increase the visibility of scientific production in Health Promotion and related areas. Although indexing in major international databases is still under development, the journal is part of the Santa Cruz do Sul University's journal portal and is present in metadata systems that facilitate the dissemination of published articles.

The journal encourages the circulation of manuscripts in academic and digital environments, providing immediate access to all published content, which favors the engagement of readers, researchers, and potential collaborators. Additionally, RIPS's active presence on social media and dissemination channels further contributes to increasing the visibility of scientific work and its impact on the scientific community and society in general.

RIPS has a Qualis B3 rating in the interdisciplinary area according to the CAPES Quadrennium 2021-2024.
